NMSU's Nelson indicted by grand jury (AP)

New Mexico State star forward Tyrone Nelson was indicted Thursday on felony charges stemming from allegations that he robbed a pizza delivery man in August. Nelson faces a third-degree felony charge of robbery and a fourth-degree felony charge of conspiracy to commit robbery. He will have to be formally arraigned in state district court, but it's unclear when that will be.

Penn State's Claxton breaks pinkie (AP)

Penn State forward Geary Claxton will be sidelined at least two weeks after breaking his right pinkie during an exhibition game Wednesday night. Claxton hurt the finger after banging it against the rim while going for an offensive rebound midway through the first half of the Nittany Lions' 71-53 win over Edinboro.

Kentucky suspends F Thomas for 3 games (AP)

Kentucky forward Sheray Thomas was suspended for the Wildcats' first two exhibition games and the season opener because of an undisclosed rules violation.
