One of the few surprises at Wednesday's post position draw for the eight Breeders' Cup races was the decision to enter Super Frolic in the $2 million Mile on the turf instead of the $5 million Classic. Super Frolic stumbled badly at the start of last year's Classic but still finished fourth at 69-1 odds.

Todd Pletcher is getting an early start on next year's Kentucky Derby. The trainer with a record-setting 17 horses in Saturday's Breeders' Cup at Churchill Downs has three for the $2 million Juvenile, including the two favorites. Circular Quay is the 5-2 morning-line favorite, Scat Daddy the second choice at 4-1 and King of the Roxy a 12-1 long shot.
