Bjorgen wins another World Cup sprint (AP)

Marit Bjorgen and Ella Gjomle of Norway won the women's 6x0.8 kilometer freestyle team sprint World Cup race Sunday with a time of 10 minutes, 50.1 seconds. It was the second victory of the weekend for Bjorgen, who won the individual sprint Saturday. Bjorn Lind and Peter Larsson of Sweden captured the men's 6x1.5 event in 19:52.4.

Super Frolic lands in Breeders' Cup Mile (AP)

One of the few surprises at Wednesday's post position draw for the eight Breeders' Cup races was the decision to enter Super Frolic in the $2 million Mile on the turf instead of the $5 million Classic. Super Frolic stumbled badly at the start of last year's Classic but still finished fourth at 69-1 odds.

The trainer with a record-setting 17 horses in Saturday's Breeders' Cup at Churchill Downs has three for the $2 million Juvenile, including the two favorites.
